Daytime NWS Rehearsal Observation (Grades 3 and up): Throughout the season groups of students are welcome to observe the orchestra in rehearsal. This provides a better understanding of the music-making process and the amount of time and energy required to create a first-class performance. Students will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the conductor, musicians or staff at NWS. Groups of adults are welcome to these rehearsal observations upon request.

In addition NWS musicians frequently visit local senior centers, retirement homes and hospitals, presenting a wide array of entertaining performances and hands-on activities.

Explorations in Music (Grades K-12): Throughout the season, NWS musicians regularly visit area schools to perform chamber and solo works and share their knowledge and enthusiasm for music with students.
